Silvano Griffith-Francis

About Me

Hi, I’m Silvano — an author, speaker, facilitator and writing coach with a lifelong passion for storytelling. I wrote and produced my first play at just seventeen, later pursuing a degree in Performing Arts. After graduation, I took my parents’ advice to get a 'proper job' - working at the BBC for several years.

In 2013, after an 18-month sabbatical, I made the decision to resign and follow my dream of acting and writing full time.   My journey unexpectedly led to producing and founded SVG Productions,  with a clear mission: to give a platform to underrepresented and marginalised voices in theatre.

Since then, my work has been staged across the UK. Scripts such as Family Secrets and Life Begins, ran for almost a decade. My first feature film premiered in 2018, and I shot my second one in 2019.

Today I work with churches and organisation to tackle difficult subjects via bespoke productions.

Speaking & Freelance Work

Beyond my own creative projects, I work as a freelance actress, presenter, speaker and writing coach. I’ve had the privilege of speaking at conferences, business functions, and women’s events, sharing insights and stories that inspire audiences to pursue their dreams and live with purpose.

Motivating others to embrace their potential is something I’m deeply passionate about, and my talks are rooted in both personal experience and a deep faith in God’s guidance.

Passions
World travel is one of my greatest passions. I’ve been described as a 'prolific traveller', having explored 83 countries and experienced a wide variety of cultures. From bustling cities to remote landscapes, I love immersing myself in the people and traditions that make each place unique.

Cooking and baking are my second passion. Inspired by the flavours and cuisines I’ve discovered on my travels, I love experimenting in the kitchen.
